Vice President Koung Honors Former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on Her 86th Birthday, Celebrating a Legacy of Leadership and Resilience

Liberia: – On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, Vice President Hon. Jeremiah Kpan Koung had the honor of representing His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., at the 86th birthday celebration of Liberia’s esteemed former leader, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Held at her residence in Congo Town, Monrovia, the event gathered family, friends, and prominent figures to celebrate Sirleaf’s enduring legacy and service to the nation.

This annual celebration on October 29 serves as a tribute to Sirleaf, an icon of resilience and progress who has left an indelible mark on Liberia and the continent. According to the Vice President’s office, Koung extended heartfelt birthday wishes on behalf of the administration, lauding Sirleaf’s extraordinary contributions and wishing her many more years of health and fulfillment.

Adding to the event’s significance, the celebration took place alongside the African Women’s Leadership Network conference, an occasion highlighting the continued empowerment and leadership of African women.
