Zwedru City, Grand Gedeh County, Liberia: – Three men from Jerlue Town District #3 Grand Gedeh County have allegedly raped a nine (9) year girl.

According to the mother (Florence Billy age 30), the incident occurred while she was away.

She further narrated that while leaving the town she left the victim with her sister in the city when she went fishing and upon her return her sister narrated to her that the little girl was allegedly raped.

Meanwhile, the case was forwarded to the Women and Children  Protection Unit of the Liberia National Police (LNP) in Zwedru on May 9, 2024.

While in conversation with the Women and Children Protection Unit of LNP, they revealed that after a preliminary investigation, they were charged with Gang Rape and sent to the 7th Judicial Circuit court in the county awaiting trial.

Those alleged perpetrators are :

1. Solo Davis age 22

2. Prince Davis age 22

3. Nathaniel Gayee age 23 respectively.

Those alleged perpetrators were arrested and sent to prison on May 10, 2024, while the investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, the case reached the Jury on May 24, 2024, while investigating the case the court found out that the case had no magnitude and was predicated upon, the three alleged perpetrators being released from prison after spending over seventeen days behind bars.
