Zwedru, Liberia:- On January 19th, 2024, Grand Gedeh county outgoing local authority dedicated the newly constructed police headquarters in Zwedru City.
The new police headquarters contain eighteen offices,nine bathrooms, a charge of quarter ,one storage,and a conference hall.
The police headquarters was burnt by some angry crowd on May 18,2021 when one of the police vehicles hit the motorcyclists union President Mr T.Wilson Ninneh.
Predicated upon this, Superintendent Kai G.Farley at the time set up funds raising committee to raise funds for the re-construction of the police headquarters in the county.
The local Authority also allotted US$ 50,000 from the county coffer along with other funds generated from some prominent Grand Gedeans in and out of Liberia to re-construct the police headquarters.
During the dedication ceremony,the head of the engineers and manager of the construction company that spearhead the project Mr Isaac Garlo placed the total cost of the project to about US$120,000.00
Superintendent Kai Farley in a remark appreciated those who financially and spiritually contributed towards the fruition of the re-construction of the police headquarters and urged citizens and residents in the county to take full ownership of the project and avoid the tearing down of meaningful developments in the county during any crisis.
He used the medium to caution citizens to making use of the law and stop taking the laws into their own hands.
