NZ1

Bryn Mawr,Pennsylvania USA – As 2023 General & Presidential Elections are nearing with barely 15 more months to go, Cllr. Tiawan Saye Gongloe who was petitioned in Nimba last year by Elders of Nimba and Bong Counties in contesting for the Presidency of Liberia and Dr. Jeremiah Zaryeant Whapoe are two names yet from Nimba County that are wanting to lead Liberia as President.

For a good candidate perspective, a son of Nimba County Nixon Zor has x-rayed the long standing issues around this and he writes,

I have been following some discussions on Nimba producing a presidential candidate come 2023 presidential and national elections in Liberia.

I strongly believe that it is a wonderful topic for discussion and we need a leader to come up with these pronouncement for others to follow.

For Nimba County to come up with a presidential candidate, we as Nimbanians needs to set up and independent, credible, impartial, vetting team to cross-examine the platforms of all the candidates and let Nimba County come out of that process with a candidate that all Nimbanians can and will support come 2023.

The reasons are countless but one of the most important factors to do the vetting is that all of the candidates are fine sons of Nimba County and Liberia with platforms that they think can transform the country and reunite its people. I will also recommend a diversified group of Nimbanians should form part of this team chosen or appointed by the Nimba people to transparently produce a candidate from the County.

Nimba can also form a political party with whomever chosen to be the candidate as the standard bearer and the rest of the party leadership positions can be determined by the will of the Nimba people.

Cllr. Tiawan Saye Gongloe and Dr. Jeremiah Zaryeant Whapoe

I AM CALLING ON ALL LEADERS, ELDERS AND STAKEHOLDERS OF NIMBA COUNTY AS WELL AS OUR YOUTHS TO CRITICALLY THINK ABOUT THIS SUGGESTION AND HAVE SOMETHING DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

YES, WECAN and YES, WE WILL !!!!!YAR-GO NIMBA YAR SEA, NO WAY.!!!!
