Saclepea City, Nimba County, Liberia:- In a powerful display of solidarity, generosity, and community spirit, Mr. Oldpa Koah, Chairman of the Liberia Football Association-#LFA Saclepea Sub-Committee, has brought renewed hope and relief to the Muslim community in Saclepea during the sacred observance of Ramadan.
On Thursday, March 12, 2026, Mr. Koah made a heartfelt visit to the Saclepea Mosque, where he identified with hundreds of fasting Muslims by donating essential food items aimed at easing the burden of the holy month. His contribution included five 25kg bags of rice, one bag of onions, and five gallons of vegetable oil, staple commodities that will significantly support families as they gather each evening to break their fast.
Ramadan, a period marked by fasting, prayer, reflection, and increased devotion, often comes with added financial strain for many households. Families are required to prepare daily meals before dawn and at sunset, making food security a pressing concern for vulnerable communities. Recognizing this challenge, Mr. Koah stepped forward with a gesture that resonated far beyond material support.

“As a neighbor to the mosque and a member of this community, it is important that we stand together and support one another, especially during this sacred period,” Mr. Koah said during the presentation. His words underscored a message of unity and shared responsibility, reminding citizens of the power of collective care.
Beyond the donation, Mr. Koah used the moment to call for continued prayers for Liberia, urging the Muslim community to lift the nation in their supplications for peace, unity, and sustainable development. His appeal highlighted the vital role of faith communities in shaping the moral and social fabric of the country.
The gesture was warmly received by the Chief Imam of Saclepea, who expressed deep appreciation on behalf of the Muslim community. Describing the donation as both timely and impactful, the Imam commended Mr. Koah for his thoughtfulness and unwavering commitment to community welfare.
“This act of kindness comes at a crucial time for our people,” the Imam noted. “It shows that we are not alone and that there are individuals who truly care about the well-being of others. We are grateful, and we will continue to pray for him and for the peace and progress of Liberia.”
Residents who witnessed the donation described the moment as uplifting, noting that such acts of generosity strengthen bonds across religious and social lines. In a time when many communities face economic hardship, Mr. Koah’s initiative serves as a shining example of leadership rooted in empathy and service.
As Ramadan continues, the people of Saclepea are reminded that beyond fasting, the essence of the holy month lies in compassion, charity, and unity. Through his actions, Mr. Oldpa Koah has not only provided food but has also nourished hope, inspired togetherness, and reaffirmed the enduring spirit of humanity in Nimba County.
