With the prevalence of epilepsy being high in Yarwin Mehnsonnoh Health District in Nimba County, a Public Health Practitioner Amb Edmund Walakewon Gbarwee and team of Medical Doctors, Pharmacist, Social Workers one and all launched a campaign “THERE IS STILL HOPE” as way of helping to minimize the condition last year August 2022 at Boyee Clinic.

Success story
From the last awareness followed by supplied of medication including assorted non medical materials, we have been told by clinicians in Boyee Clinic and Zekepa Health Center including community reports that at least 20% of the 140 plus people who were treated have not had seizures since last year August 2022.
Challenges
To get the medication is difficult and is expensive and we as campaigners have no partners yet but task each other and equally seek assistance for others as way of reaching out to the patients.
Way Forward
We are reaching out as way of finding a program for health sustainability for these citizens.
Pharmacist Saye Quoi who appreciated the team equally acknowledged the general challenges and encouraged the team to remain focus as they will do all they can to seek help for the team in implementing this unique community/mental health initiative. He stressed on sustainable program.
