Dr. Cozie Gwaikolo, MD, MAS and was born on
September 23, 1981. He hails from Zekepa, Nimba County the proposed Capital City of Liberia as named by Former President Madame Ellen Johnson Sirleaf because of its geographical location.
Let’s kindly walk through our Personality of this Week Education:
2005 he earned Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology, Cuttington University,
2013 he earned Doctor of Medicine (MD), A.M.Dogliotti College of Medicine University of Liberia,
2019 he earned Internal Medicine Specialty Training (MLCPS), Liberia College of Physicians and Surgeons,
2022 he earned Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Epidemiological and Clinical Research, University of California San Francisco and
2022 he earned PhD Candidate (Year 1) Epidemiology and Implementation Science, University of California The United States of America
Kindly allow us to share just some of our Personality of the Week Professional Experiences:
From August 2019 – June 2020, he served as Acting Head of Department, Department of Internal Medicine; Tellewoyan Memorial Hospital, Lofa County, Liberia.
From July 2016 – July 2019 he served as Resident Doctor
Department of Internal Medicine. John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Monrovia, Liberia.
From January 2016 – June 2016 he served as General Medical Practitioner/Surgical Supervisor
J. D. J. Maternal and Pediatric Hospital, Paynesville, Montserrado County, Liberia.
From April 2015 – December 2015 he equally served as Acting Medical Director and ETU Doctor
Ebola Treatment Unit, International Medical Corps (IMC), Bong County, Liberia.
From August 2015 – December 2015 he served as
General Medical Practitioner C. B. Dunbar Maternal Hospital, Gbarnga, Bong County, Liberia.
From January 2015 – July 2015 he served as General Medical Practitioner
Phebe Hospital and School of Nursing, Bong County, Liberia.
Our Personality of the Week as equally been involved and still involve with Community-based initiative as follow:
Diabetes and Endocrine Society of Liberia (DESoL) – 2017 to present
Founding member/volunteer.
Activities: community education for diabetes and other noncommunicable diseases, screening and treatment.
Liberia Medical and Dental Association (LMDA) – 2013 to present
Member
Community Activities: Health outreach for underserved communities (education, health screening and treatment)

Dr. Cozie Gwaikolo is married to Dr. Joyce B. Gwaikolo for the past 6 years, have 4 wonderful children, 2 boys and two girls.
Dr, Gwaikolo loves swimming.
