BUCHANAN, LIBERIA:- In a powerful demonstration of its commitment to workforce development and operational excellence, ArcelorMittal Liberia-AML has certificated 55 employees following the successful completion of its 3D Shopfloor Enhancement and 4D Shopfloor Management Programs.

The initiative, held in Buchanan, marks a significant step toward strengthening frontline leadership and reinforcing a culture of safety and consistency across AML’s operations. The beneficiaries, drawn from the Rail, Port, and Mine Departments, were equipped with practical, hands-on leadership tools designed to enhance accountability, improve teamwork, and drive measurable results on the ground.

Speaking at the certification ceremony, AML Chief Financial Officer, Conor O. Brien, urged the graduates to translate their newly acquired knowledge into tangible improvements in safety standards, productivity, and collaboration within their respective units.

“This is not just about certification; it is about transformation,” he emphasized, encouraging participants to lead with purpose and set new benchmarks for operational excellence.

The program builds on the success of an earlier pilot phase and underscores AML’s ongoing investment in developing national talent. By focusing on leadership from the shopfloor upward, the company aims to create a strong pipeline of capable leaders who can sustain growth and innovation in Liberia’s mining sector.

As AML continues to expand its footprint, initiatives like these highlight a broader vision, empowering employees at every level to take ownership, lead effectively, and contribute meaningfully to national development.

Nimba D-9 TV will continue to follow developments in workforce empowerment and industrial growth across Liberia.
