Maryland County, Liberia: – In a powerful display of unity and purpose, the Maryland Rural Women Farmers Association (MRWFA) convened a day-long meeting in Pleebo City, rallying support for local agriculture and community empowerment.

Under the theme “When Women Lead, Progress Turns on Itself,” the summit brought together elders, chiefs, and youth from across Maryland County to forge a path toward agricultural sustainability and economic growth.

Established in 2020, MRWFA has been at the forefront of enhancing agricultural practices in Liberia, seeking critical support from local lawmakers to address pressing needs, including the establishment of a processing plant for commercial value crops like cassava and cocoa.

As President Joseph Nyumah Boakai emphasizes agricultural priorities for the nation, MRWFA stands ready to transform the lives of Marylanders through enhanced farming initiatives. The organization calls on the Ministry of Agriculture, government officials, and donors to extend a helping hand for a more prosperous future.
