Liberia: – Grace Andrews, a proud daughter of Grand Bassa County, is a shining example of how the ArcelorMittal Liberia Advanced Study Scholarship Program is transforming lives and building a brighter future for Liberia.
A beneficiary of the 8th batch of the AML Advanced Study Scholarship (2022–2024), Grace recently earned her Master’s degree in Medical Microbiology from Sharda University in India. Today, she serves her country as a Laboratory Scientist at the National Public Health Reference Laboratory, playing a vital role in detecting and responding to disease outbreaks.
“The AML MDA scholarship changed my life. It gave me the chance to pursue my passion for science and public health, and now, I’m using that knowledge to serve my country,” Grace shared.
She applauded the transparent, fair, and competitive selection process of the scholarship program and encouraged young Liberians, especially women, to believe in themselves and take bold steps toward their dreams.
Grace’s story is one of many, demonstrating the power of investment in education and human potential. Through initiatives like this, ArcelorMittal Liberia is helping to nurture the next generation of scientists, leaders, and nation-builders.
AML celebrates Grace and the many others like her whose journeys are shaping a stronger, healthier, and more educated Liberia.
