United Nimba Citizens Council-(UNICCO) To Distribute Assorted Materials in Nimba

Nimba, County, Liberia: – The National President of United Nimba Citizens Council (UNICCO) has disclosed plans to carry out another distribution exercise across Nimba County in the coming months.

Making the disclosure to Voice of Nimba Wednesday, December 6, 2023 via mobile phone from the United States of America, Mr. Samuel Wogbeh-Gee said, the exercise will benefit school going kids in the county including health facilities amongst others.

He furthered revealed that UNICCO is shipping a 44 feet container of assorted materials to be distributed across the county in March 2024.

Mr. Wogbeh-Gee named the school materials as textbooks, calculators, shoes, clothing, notebooks etc.

According to him, the second phase of the exercise will prioritize institutions that did not benefit from the first phase including the Ganta Rehab Center.

He noted that the exercise is UNICCO’s way of addressing the health needs of citizens in the county.

It can be recalled that UNICCO December to Remember was launched in Gompa City in 2019 giving birth to US$250,000 UNICCO Women Empowerment Center which constructions are ongoing at UNICCO-Village in Domahpa 6KM on the Ganta-Gbarnga Highway. This facility when completed will provide many different trainings for women and girls as way of building their capacities.

Commenting on UNICCO’s US$250,000 women empowerment center project, Mr. Wogbeh-Gee said that phase one of the project which is the foundation is nearing completion and the elevation of the walls contract in the tone of a little over US$54,000 has been signed through a merit system by a Nimba based Construction company.

He expressed UNICCO’S commitment to fast-tracking the project to ensure its timely completion.
