Kpiekpoah, Nimba County Liberia: Alfred Kardua believed to be in his 50s allegedly killed Thompson Lee in Kpiekpoa Town Nimba County Electoral District Eight (8) as angry citizens from the victim’s home set ablaze the alleged home.
Tension is said to be mounting in this part of Nimba County after a man who is on the run allegedly killed over the issue of provocation something which is yet to be verified.
The deceased Thompson Lee graduated last year from Johnny Voker High School located in Saclepea Central Nimba County and played for Gbehyi and was the soccer captain for Kpiekpoa soccer team before his demised.
‘’The alleged killer Alfred Kardua left Kpiekpoah since 1999 in search of better livelihood and he returned this gone February 2022 with absolutely nothing. Many of his peers and some youths will usually provoke him. Some of them will asked him that but what went wronged in Monrovia that you came? Is it that Monrovia was so hard or not?
A day but this very sad incident, Lee and others went to the hospital in celebrating the safe delivery of a lady who gave birth but he returned very drunk and from my look at things. Lee the deceased than decided to go to his brother in law place but used the route of Alfred’s home and then this incident started as Alfred chopped Lee with cutlass as you can see the blood on the ground. Lee was rushed to the very Saclepea Comprehensive Health Center he and others returned from and was pronounced dead upon arrival.” said any Elder who doesn’t want to be named
Under the Laws of Liberia, Mob Violence is totally prohibited as the Rule of Law is the path which you have to channel all your grievances said a Motorcyclist who was equally prevented from leaving the scene.
The Liberia National Police has swiftly intervened as calmed has resumed but the alleged killer is at large while investigation continues.
