Liberia Media for Democratic Initiatives (LMDI) in partnership with Internews Stage Day Long Training for Community Radio Journalists

 Liberia: – As part of training Community Radio Journalists, eighteen (18) Journalists benefited from a day long intensive training session sponsored by Internews through Liberia Democratic initiative LMDI held at LMDI Headquarters in Careyburg Montserrado County, Liberia.

 The training was about how community Radio Journalists should conduct community media forum as to bring issues affecting Community on board for discussion and for Community Radio Journalists to be real in conducting Community Media Forum (CMF) as for Citizens to participate in a debate.

The facilitator of the training Mr. Adam Togba said the workshop intent was to equip community radio Journalists with the skills and knowledge to plan and conduct effective programing on the community radio as way of providing the listening audience with accurate, balance and credible information.

Mr. Togba further commenting said, the workshop aim to enhanced the capacity of community radio Journalists in promoting civic engagement and democratic discourse through the community media forum ( CMF)

John Kollie lead facilitator of the training lamented that community radio Journalists need to be innovative in generating resources to help and buttress the community effort.

Speaking further, he said, Journalists should be professional in the community radio reportage, and should stay away from running behind politicians for little of nothing call Cato. Moreover Mr. Kollie said Liberians should immediately stop the act of sitting fees so as to improve Liberia to the next trajectory.
